ごあいさつ

NYの study group を知り、日本でも勉強会が欲しいとの思いからこのグループは始まりました。それから９年、フランス 21th European Patchwork meetingでのグループ展と日本の麻布十番ギャラリー、元麻布ギャラリーでの計４回の展覧会を重ね今回は５回目のグループ展、カタログは４冊目になります。

今年新型コロナウィルスによる世界のパンデミックを経験し、私たち自身の生活や思考に大きな変化を与えています。作品を制作する作家としても、社会環境や温暖化による自然環境破壊などが大きく影響してくることを改めて痛感しています。

１日も早く世界に平和が戻ることを心から祈っております。

私達はそれぞれの目標も変化させながら、自分の方向性を見つめ進化しています。

今回は全体としてのまとまりを勉強しようと、課題のミニアチュールだけでなく展覧会テーマを「黒の心象」一つに絞ってみました。

また新たな挑戦です。

When we heard about the study group in New York, we had a strong desire to start a comparable group here in Japan.

Nine years have passed since the establishment. Our group joined the 21st European Patchwork Meeting, held four exhibitions at Azabu-juban Gallery, Moto-Azabu Gallery and this is our 5th exhibition and 4th catalogue.

Experiencing the global pandemic of COVID-19 this year, it has certainly changed our lives and ways of thinking. As artists creating art work, we are influenced by the impact of natural environment destruction caused by social environment and global warming. We only pray for a quick recovery of peace.

Personal motives have changed but each artist has found and evolved toward their own goal. In order to do a study of “ unity as a whole,” we settled on this single theme of “IMAGERY IN BLACK” for both the miniature collection and for this exhibition.

This again is a new challenge.
